We have previously covered "Managing Your Money for Retirement"
and "Risk and Reward are Traveling Companions". We will now
build on these two subjects as we turn toward "Positioning Your
Money for Retirement". How you position your money will depend
on your individual circumstances. You'll find what follows is
commonsense more than it is technique. Our objective is to make
you aware that all options available to you must be reviewed.
Your choice will be the one that makes sense for you.
Your retirement savings, not your job, are now the source of
your income. Your working years have pasted and you can no longer
count on a steady income from your employer. You must now rely on
your retirement savings, probably for the next 20 to 30 years. You
can and should get help with positioning your retirement money
because even a tiny investment mistake now can make a huge
difference in your retirement lifestyle later - usually when you
can least afford it...
