I personally think the star are aligned for a Roth conversion if you can meet the income qualification -- and if your income is too high keep an open mind for 2010 when the income limit is suspended.  With retirement account severely depressed because of the market meltdown and higher taxes being telegraphed by Washington, why not pay the lower taxes now and enjoy the tax-free income later?</description>
